The Inzer Max DL Deadlift Suit
While nowadays in raw the deadlift is the majority of most lifters' totals, in multi-ply it's all but ignored. We do it at the end of the meet because we have to, and there are very few people who specialize in the deadlift on the gear side. Hell, the equipped deadlift records are usually under the raw records.
How can this be? Well, the fact of the matter is that deadlift suits don't do much but squeeze the hell out of your respective genitals. A select few are proficient (and/or lucky) enough to get 100lbs out of their deadlift gear. Also, multi-ply squats and benches are much more taxing than their raw counterparts, making it even harder to put together a good deadlift at the end of a full power meet.
Today aside, before Browner and Grisby, before Frank and Conley, before every big puller today; someone had to break all of these barriers for the first time. If you've been around the sport for longer than a few months, you already know who I'm talking about. If you don't, it's the incredible Andy Bolton.
I think as a whole, Andy is an incredibly underrated powerlifter. Like Tom Platz' legs making his also incredible upper body look years behind his lower body, Bolton's deadlift greatly overshadowed his squat, total, and bench. His best total was over 2800, he squatted over 1200, and even had a 700+ bench. He also set squat and total ATWRs as he was coming up and won/podiumed at multiple WPO events.
My thoughts on how great of a lifter Andy is aside, it's time to stop beating around the bush. Andy Bolton was the first lifter in history to break the 1000lb deadlift barrier, and remains the only equipped lifter to pull over 1000 and one of 4 total lifters to ever pull over 1000 in competition with his 1003 lb. deadlift in 2006, then he set the bar even higher with his 1008 lb. deadlift in 2009. Both pulls were in the Inzer Max DL suit.
This is one of two offerings Inzer has on their website for deadlift suits, alongside the Fusion. I've seen lifters get these in single or double ply, 2 ply back 1 ply front, or 3 ply back 2 ply front, with or without velcro straps and using it with or without briefs underneath. There is no right or wrong with deadlift gear, only trial and error to get you to your biggest pull.
However, there is a TON of small variations of this suit. There is an eBay gear seller by the name of maxscoins who sells a lot of used gear. Mostly singleply, but lots of multi-ply too. I would implore you to look through all the crazy color schemes, old/rare logos, and special cuts of gear he has for sale. Here are a bunch of variations of the fusion I found from his eBay:

Here are two royal blue suits with different coloring on the "Advanced Designs."

Here's one made in their old red poly.

The second suit has a much brighter red on the "MAX DL" badge.

These both have a green "Advanced Designs" and totally different "MAX DL" badge.

This black suit has the yellow "Advanced Designs" like one of the blue suits above and the translucent "MAX DL" badge like one of the other black suits.

And lastly this black suit has a red "INZER" and white "Advanced Designs" like that of a hardcore suit.
I'm sure there is more variations out there, but these are just a handful of examples I was able to pull from Google and eBay. If you have any pictures of rarer logo combinations, email me at roman@equippedpowerlifting.club , I would love to see/add them!
